The new summer season is at the door and the activity of the cruise ships and superyachts resumes in the harbors of Porto S. Stefano and Porto Ercole.
After an constant work of structuring and publishing the PORTARGENTARIO project, which was developed throughout the winter, the development and collaboration between Tuscan Regional Port Authority, Districts of Monte Argentario and 7 other participant districts (Grosseto, Siena, Orbetello, Castiglione della Pescaia, Caparbio, Manciano and Isola del Giglio) begins to plan the future.
The 15 of May, in fact, there will be a meeting in Florence between the Disrtict Autorities, Head of Economic Development Region of Tuscany and the Director of Tourism Promotion for Tuscany.
The ambition of PORTARGENTARIO is to get involved in all the business activities of the area in order to create a synergy of development and economic return, trying also to change the habits of seasonal tourism.
Till now the response has been successful, even though, everyone is conscious that it is necessary to have time, work, dedication and professionalism to present Argentario and to get in the International cruising and nautical tourism circuit.
In the meantime, the arrival of the first cruise ship LE PONANT, is scheduled for the 11th of May at Porto Santo Stefano and opens the new tourism season.
And then….good luck again to PortArgentario hoping to reach the important goals of economic and touristic development for all of Maremma, Grosseto and Siena area.
